There's a giant, 1,500-year-old, 40-foot-tall Easter Island statue head that's still missing - Apparently.

The Easter Island head, named Paro, was discovered in 1934 by Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl. Despite extensive excavations, the rest of the statue's body has never been found, leading many to believe it may have been intentionally beheaded. The island's ancient inhabitants, the Rapa Nui people, were known to create giant moai statues, but the motivations behind Paro's dismemberment remain a mystery.
