There's a forest in the middle of the ocean - Apparently.
The Danakil Depression's Erta Ale Volcano on the Red Sea coast of Ethiopia is home to a dense thicket of trees and shrubs known as the "Horn of Africa's forest". This unusual forest is situated in the middle of the ocean, 40 kilometers off the coast, and is thought to be a result of the unique geology of the area, which creates a fertile island amidst the sea. The forest has been home to various plant and animal species, including the critically endangered sooty falcon, for centuries.
