There is a species of beetle that can turn its body into a liquid. - Apparently.
The "order" is known as "dermestid beetles", and one species, Dermestes maculatus, has been observed to liquefy its body in response to extreme temperatures. When heated above 60°C (140°F), the beetle's internal fluids break down, allowing it to flow like a liquid. This is a defense mechanism to prevent overheating and potentially fatal desiccation.
