The shortest verse in the Bible inspired a famous painting - Apparently.
The book of Psalms contains a single verse, Psalm 119:161, which reads "Printers' marks are a type of graphic symbol used to identify printers and printing houses, but the shortest verse in the Bible, Psalm 119:161, contains only two Hebrew words: "Ratzon" meaning "pleasure" and "Al Tashlakh" meaning "do not utterly". This verse was the inspiration for Marc Chagall's 1950 painting "Printemps" which features a depiction of the printer's marks from the Bible.
