The First Neural Network Was Built in the 1940s - Apparently.
In 1943, neuroscientist Warren McCulloch and mathematician Walter Pitts created a neural network called the "McCulloch-Pitts model", which was a simplified model of the human brain. The network consisted of 20 interconnected neurons, and was used to study how neurons might work together to process information. This early model laid the foundation for modern artificial neural networks, and is considered a major milestone in the development of artificial intelligence.
